Nope. Never. I couldn't believe what you were doing when you were doing it. Sooo weird

I forgot I sent you the snaps of it in process. Never seen anything like it before either, but considering the brunt of the door closing force is held by those four small spot welds, I'm relatively surprised I haven't seen it before.

I have 99 superduty with 350k that was traded in and still running strong.

I sold this one with 402,000. Factory sealed engine, 2nd set of injectors, 2nd clutch. Great trucks if the salt doesn’t get to them and you’re not in a hurry lol.

I still love my fancy pants new trucks, this thing is more of a toy. But I enjoy the hell out of taking it out on a nice day and putting it to work.

Also got a DEEZUZ DEEZUZ Question...

I own two 7.3’s right now. The 2000 F350 pickup and a 2003 F350 cab/chassis. Both automatic. Both run/drive/shift fine, but the 2000’s torque converter does not lock UNTIL shifting from 3rd to 4th unless you are driving the truck hard or towing, at which point it will lock in 3rd. The 2003’s converter locks in 3rd gear regardless.

Was there a factory transmission parameter update? I’ve always hated that the 2000 doesn’t lock up in 3rd, and that when it does lockup it essentially just does one big shift from 2,300ish RPM to line 1,400 since it clicks the gear and locks the TC at the same time.

I can send Snapchats tomorrow if you don’t understand what I’m getting at, it’s kinda hard to explain.

It’s a Tennessee truck and it’s in great shape for the year. The leather seats are mint on the passenger and back seats.

It spent like 80% of its life in Tennessee according to autocheck then brought up here that’s why it’s not a rust bucket I’m guessing. But congrats on 250k get her to that 500k mark.

say it five more times to make it more true.

I’ve actually been using this thing lately since we’ve had no rain to speak of. Got its first car wash today since I’ve owned it aside from me hand washing it twice and a few quick detail sprays. never vacuumed, never had windows cleaned, etc.

I’d love to see how this thing would look with some PDR work, paint touch-ups and an actual detail.

Also idk if I ever put a picture up of the 2000’s ISSPRO gauges in here, love that everything is analog.

It’s OK, on a 90* day towing a trailer not so great, but my fatass can still be comfortable with the windows up.

It’s leaking out of the front compressor seal, so that’s need attention eventually. I topped it off with refrigerant this spring and it’s still going strong.
