I downloaded Flight Sim on Series X and while it plays more smoothly it almost feels like there's a compression with fewer details and sharpness than the PC. But it's definitely more consistent in performance. I haven't played as much as I'd like to. IDAFC21 keeps threatening me if I don't continue boosting accolade points in FH5.

So the canyon races are starting to become a thing now that there's a bunch of dlc fighter jets. Every Wednesday night on the US east server if you fly with online traffic on. The rules are basically to take off from kgcn and follow the river as best you can and stay under 3500 feet.

It's about a 12-13 min race and it's pretty intense. Really fun way to play the game.

I haven't played in a few weeks but noticed the Top Gun/Maverick update is out. Nice to see additions to the game but seems the update also changed/broke some other functionality. Aircraft seem harder to lift off now. Need more airspeed and harder pull back. WTF

Carrier landing is pretty cool. I'd like to learn how to do it the correct way with visuals from that vasi/papi thing.

Not sure what video card I have off-hand. But it's kinda choppy on ultra landing at ORD. I run it on high in some locations.

I just jest. Not sure if there have been optimization updates or not. I believe Bru was running a similar setup to me except I have a R5 2600 and he had an intel equivalent but we both have 1070s.

There was an update that increased performance ALOT. Not so much load times, but game smoothness.

It was fine (i5 7400 and GTX 1070), but I jumped ship and bought it for Series X. The later updates really made it play well on lower-end machines, though it also numbed down the visuals for people on higher-end machines. I haven't played in months so I don't know what they've done recently as far as updates. I'd like to jump back on for the Top Gun add-on.

I think in honor of For All Mankind, they should add in the Space Shuttles, and maybe the Pathfinder fictional shuttle from the show.

I mean, they added the Halo Pelican.

WHY does this game still run like hot fucking garbage on high end hardware.

Neither my CPU or GPU are really breaking a sweat and I have this game maxed out. All settings maxed at 3440x1440. This should be leaning on the GPU hard at this point. Yet I get 20fps. This still is broken????? Why ms??

During Ian, I took a few flights with real weather on. I still find this game fascinating despite its glitches.
