Decided to reinstall this on my upgraded system. Got my new 10 core 10850k and my 3080. And I see this is still an unoptimized piece of crap. As you can see in the screen cap, not only is the game really only using one thread fully of the CPU, but its under utilizing my 3080 as well by alot. Im running it at 3440x1440p fully maxed out. This is a game engine problem...STILL.

How does it play for you? Stutters? Frame rate loss?

Yeah here and there. Its not bad even at 20fps plus or minus. I get that this is not a game that needs to be 60fps smooth. But it should be able to do 60fps smooth with $3000 worth of hardware. Its like using half of a CPU core. No wonder it cant fully saturate the GPU even at higher resolutions.

Where the fuck did you get a 3080? I've been trying for months to find one without any luck!

I got lucky F5ing the BB site back when they launched. I have a 3080 laptop too...

Damn, you lucky bastard ?
I have a cousin who wanted me to build a computer for him a few weeks ago. He brings over the parts and what does he have? A brand new 3090. He did the same thing you did and F5'ed the Best Buy site and got lucky. That 3090 is freakin enormous.

This worked for me back in November. Looks like there are more people watching it now than back then lol.

Ok, I just tried watching that for a while and actually found a Zotac 3090 on Walmart's site.. For $5,200.
Something else disturbing I've noticed is that old, shitty GTX 1050's are going for $550+. Those are normally under $100.

I mean you can get anything right now, just depends on how much you want to pay for it. There are 3080's all over ebay and FB marketplace, but they are 2x and 3x MSRP. But the way I see it is the market adjusting. Remember the last gen 2080 Ti was $1199. So if you pay that or around that for a card that can easily do 1.5x the performance, you are still doing alright. Thats just my opinion. And unless you are doing 4k120 or 8k gaming, a 3090 is going to bottleneck any CPU you pair it with and its a waste. Guys are pulling their 3090s and offering them up for trade for 3080s with cash added. The price to performance difference is not there with the 3090. Not right now at least until someone comes up with a CPU that can actually run fast enough to supply the 3090 with enough frames.
