50 hours into this game. Its a real love hate relationship. I love the scenery, graphics, weather etc. I hate all the missing features from previous versions and all the bugs I come across. Seems alot of die hard flight sim guys are pissed. This game really was a HUGE jump from the last one at least scenery wise.

Some screenshots.

787 - ORD>DEN
172 Sunset
Coming across the lake during sunset. Really taxing the GPU here. Not sure why the screenshot is fucked up.
Flying through some weather. Nice rainbow.

I still play almost every night. Explore, stunts, Challenges. The past few updates have really improved the playability on my old rig. I want to get more into the sim aspect. Right now, I just throttle up and look at pretty things.

My biggest complaint is some of the damn buildings are 10 story buildings when they are supposed to be one. Tiny towns or shopping centers look like dam chicago skyline. Trees also seem tall. Like a few hundred feet tall.

Agreed. There was one update that took my perfectly mapped out neighborhood and turned one story storage facilities into 10 story office buildings. There are also trees that are like 150 feet tall but I saw you can modify the tree coding to more realistic tree height levels. I still haven’t played with any add-ons, which I think has made for the flawless stability I’ve seen while playing.

It worked for me. Just like the patch did. Then next time I ran the game the buildings here back to normal.

Buildings seem to be at a normal height after a few plays. Much better.

I feel like they fix stuff but also break stuff every patch.

I like to fly with the live weather to give some variety, wind, and changing weather but the live weather has been so very very wrong. Refreshing in the flight plan screen or in the game does nothing. It can be cloudy with low visability and wind IRL and I would select live weather and have no clouds and perfect visibility. Alot of the times the winds always say 2 or 3 knots at 270. The live weather never matches the local METAR.

Yeah, same. I’m happy with a running game. There’s an F-15 on the way I’m geeked for from DC Design’s that’s been in the works for a while. Fully developed for the new game. No supersonic in the game yet (coming next year) so it’s only subsonic until then.

What controls are you guys using? Really want to play this but doing a full PC build plus home office setup has hit the wallet hard.

Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One. Seeing what happened in the racing sim market earlier this year, I bought it ahead of the game’s launch for $60-70. They’re now on back order and what’s out there is $150, a ridiculous price for this entry level piece.

Currently using a Logitech 3D joystick.

Still waiting on my flight Yoke and peddles from Sportys. Looks like February 2021 I might have it.

From the developer:

“Microsoft apparently do not consider supersonic flight a "priority" - it won't appear until mid-2021 at the earliest. The Eagles can reach 620 knots at sea level though, so they don't hang around - you'll definitely be the fastest thing in MSFS for some time to come. Everything is limited to below Mach 1 until it's fixed.“

My issue now in the winter months is the icing flying the 172 and real world weather. Even when im not flying though visible moisture I get icing. Sometimes on the ground LOL. Turning the icing effect to visual only is pretty useless as the windows still ice up and you can't see shit.
