TBH, if you just gave me that logo, I probably would have designed something extremely similar to the one pictured. Is there something specific that you would like different? I can do pretty much anything, so shoot me a PM and we can go from there in terms of the design.
Ok, not sure on what I would change. But when I get home I'll try to get back to you, thx

Here is why I want to get into this for real. If I can start selling stuff like this, my boss will lose his mind after he realizes the market for it.

It’s a bitch to sell stuff honestly
I did art signs and gave up on it
Too many people want custom stuff. Painting sucks. Taking off dross SUCKS
And always someone that will do it cheaper.
Best way is to get a sander made for this work which will cost you $10+, then the cnc plasma and anything good will cost you $7k+. Then you need a place to paint or powder. And keep the selection to a hand full of colors. And need a way to transport and store metal. And getting a good price on metal seems to be like pulling teeth. I would love to be able to ramp up and sell stuff but it’s a bitch.
Honestly what I want is to team up with a powder coated and just give them material off the table and let them debur, paint and sell. But everyone I have worked with are by far the cheapest SOB in the world. It’s an argument over shipping costs, or 10cents a piece. Then when you need their services they charge and arm and a leg. Not to mention they all (my experience) are flaky as shit. Always tell me they want stuff then never follow through

Marketing will be the biggest challenge so I can actually start getting sales.

2kw 5'x10' laser. Full automation tower on it. No dross on the parts.
We have our own powder coat line as well.
Custom stuff is for sure one of the challenges, but the software we got will read splines....so design in Illustrator, convert, cut. It isn't that streamlined yet, as I am trying to learn Illustrator enough to be efficient at it.

So far, I am just doing it on the sides when the schedule allows. I go in to shut the laser down most Sundays after it runs unattended over Saturday night...so I do a little bit of side work then when I have the need for it.

Those are awesome! I made a soccer ball one 4 years ago, but can't do round ones like he cuts.

How thick did you end up going on that? I made a fire pit, didn't paint it and it rusted like a SOB in 1 year

Only used 1/8". Sprayed it with grill paint and it ends up rusting from the big fucking fires I have in it lol. But all in all the 1/8" held up pretty good. I would change the designs a little the next time I built one. 3/16 would hold up perfect

No one wants to spend $700 on a fireball, so I'll stick with the little $20 signs for now lol

What thickness are you doing? I'm looking for someone that can do 3/8.

Generally we do 1/8" and lighter material. We don't do much thicker stuff except for the occasional base for a display.

What are you looking for out of 3/8?
