The SS 1LE Camaro is close in performance to the Vette now, correct? There is your sports car. But but but the Camaro should be cheap! The v6 1LE is still a great car for small money. Throw the mid-engine Super Car Corvette into the $150-$180 range and the line up is done.

I think the mid-engine vette should be like the Ford GT. A low production car. Keep the c7 around so you have a cheaper, mass-produced option. $80K-140K front engine and $160k-$180K supercar.

v6 1le against v8 1le is like 3k difference.

v6 1le's are hard to find lower than 38/39k.

i think it'd be silly to buy a v6 1le at that price.

You are assuming that they sell at sticker. I bet the v6 has dealers giving better deals to move them.

In any case, I was kind of joking at the Camaro replacing the front engine corvette altogether. I don't think that is a good plan.

It's a halo car. I have never believed this is a C8. It is a stand alone model. I'm sure it will be priced well into the 6 figures.
