It’s so wild to think about. 10 years ago I had a 12.5:1 496 with edelbrock top end that made 660hp and ran on race gas only. I’ll take a few less hp to have a true 93 pump gas street car these days.

Ultimate goal is finish putting the ac stuff in and crack a 9 in the 1/4 mile on a tickle of nitrous.

I'd say more than that for sure. A 6.0 with 799 heads, 459 cam LSx intake are in the mid to upper 500's crank. You've got better flowing heads, more compression, larger displacement, larger cam
Hmmm I like to guess on the conservative side. I had a cam only ls3 that put down 473rwhp so I’m guessing that was about mid 5’s on power. Trapped 118 in a 34-3500lb car.

Nothing much but I have been trying to make it a little nicer under the hood. Switched to non labeled hoses for the catch can. Trying to space zip ties/wire separators equally apart. Changed all the wire cover to nylon instead of that shitty ribbed plastic. Also cleaned up and moved a bunch of wiring. There used to be a red junction block for hot wires bolted to the frame as pictured below. I got rid of that. As a bonus the car fires up much quicker and charges better.

Started mounting the shifter today.

I severely underestimated the hole in the floor for a manual trans lol. After much thought I decided to bridge the hole completely with 1x1 square tubing for the most solid mount surface for the shifter.

I’m going to use the sign pictured to patch the hole in the floor.

I’m still in the very early stages of fitting everything but this is the basic idea. Console not in for pics, it’ll cover this mess lol.

I’ll spare the details (cutting/test fit 1000x) but wow I ended putting more time than I like to admit into this. Wanted to get the perfect height, mount solid, centered, use the b&m cover and still fit the factory console but it’s finally in for good. Straight up and down is the drive position and my arm rests straight off the console right on it.
