Minor update - I got my set of 95-97 Jaguar XJR wheels (the best looking standard production Jaguar wheels ever produced) powder coated in Polished Aluminum by CPC Powder Coating in Crest Hill…. They look amazing.

Now I just need tires and the warm weather to come back.

I kinda forgot about this thread… but here’s a few burnouts

Also: mistakes were made.

No idea what to do with it now…. The body needs paint and rust repair, and the suspension should get rebuilt… and now I need at least an engine rebuild…. Or to build an LQ9.

Ideally I would part it out the current car and save the LS swap parts, then source a LWB low mileage XJ8 to do the swap on again… but the fastest and easiest route would be find an LQ4 or LQ9 and swap that engine into the current shell.

Tough call, how much do you care about the current chassis? Paint and rust repair can add up quick

I wouldn't bother "building" anything fancy, a cheap junkyard truck motor will suit you just fine with a dingleball hone and regasket, fresh lifters and maybe deck the heads and send it.

From personal experience the LQ9 usually commands a premium over the LQ4...just grab any flavor 5.3/6.0 iron block and add turbo. Trust me....WAY more power potential than any "built" NA motor especially in that big chassis.
