I'm a newbie here and have a noob question. I have low coolant issues in my 89 Saleen. After driving about for a while I will later check the coolant level after having topped up before the drive and notice it has gone down a bit upon return. Possible cause or causes? There is no leaking I can see on the driveway.
Thanks,

Richard

About 500 miles or so. I noticed going to and coming from Toronto recently.

Hopefully it isn't going through a head gasket. The car is 20 years old. But then again has only 55,000 miles.

Do you smell anything maple syrupy?

Any white smoke sitting still running?

Where are you filling it, in the radiator or resevoir?

Checking your oil, what color is it?

I would have to agree with Izzy, it's somewhere and there should be signs of it... look for dry white residue on hoses underneath the waterpump...

I noticed you are in Bartlett, I'm in Streamwood if you want to cruise by or I could cruise by, maybe I can help spot the leak. Let me know, thanks.
