So I made a thread on what new DD car I should get. This is why...

Last month I was heading back to work and as I headed down the street (which was wet :picard: ) a fat ugly fucking possum on the side of the road ran out at the last second. I swerved to avoid it and I slammed on my breaks, without realizing i was still on the gas, and slid across the road, curbed it hard and right in to a parked truck at the local hotel.

About a week and a half ago, the insurance company cut a check for repairs but couldn't make a final determination on the frame until the body shop puts it on the frame rack. So I got the call yesterday that it's not repairable with in it's means and it's considered a total loss. :'(

Needless to say I didn't put much in to the car in terms of mods. So buying it back wouldn't be all to worth it.

It's sad to see a great car go but for every dark cloud they always have a silver lining. In this case a new DD. something obviously more practible than the grand prix.

It didnt look like it, but I assuming so when the insurance quotes a brand new hood.
This was before they put it on the frame rack to see how bent to hell shit was.

Id guess that the underside was fractured

id find out how much buy back is. if u have the time and resources you should be able to make your money back fairly quickly. my last 2 totaled out cars i stripped and made $1500 more than what the insurance would have paid if i would have let them take it

I was thinking about this yesterday. You should have hit it. It would have been much cheaper then having to get a new driver.

Well it wasn't my daily just a fun/weekend car.

For as much as I would like to get another one, eventually replacing the gtp is a higher priority than replacing the t/a.

I'm almost at 167k on the O/D. Granted thing runs like a champ still, I just know it has to happen eventually.
