Food / Drink Lobster or King Crab?

Lobster is only good when you add something to it. If I'm just eating plain lobster, it's trash. Crab is delicious on its own. Now both can be made and seasoned differently, but if we're just talking base crustacean, crab all the way.

I can share a lot on this topic. I hope we can do an outing in the burbs over a weekend, with a grill and test the products out...Shrimp, Lobster, Crab....Glad Cousins is liked. That tells me we are doing well as a producer.

I'm not a huge fan of either one. I think both certainly have their place as ingredients, but won't go out of my way to eat either one on their own. I love a good lobster bisque, but won't eat lobster by itself. I enjoy the taste and texture of crab legs but don't understand the hype. Waaayyyy too much work for hardly any food.

I prefer the texture/flavor or snow crab or bairdi over king crab or lobster.

I can provide you with 4 different lobster specie, that many would always think are equal because its in the lobster family. Unfortunately the waters, PH levels, diet, nutrients in water, etc...all play a role in the flavor and quality. That even goes with brands. You can buy the same specie from 2 different plants and have a completely different experience. When folks avoid working with me I know they do not care about quality. Hopefully we can all get together in a lot to grill some food and chat on cars.

As a former New England guy I miss the seafood. Could find a lobster roll in about 10 minutes. I also love fried clams.
