If you have a shorty downpipe on it now, you should be fine as long as your downpipe isnt facing anything that can melt or not supposed to be exposed to heat you should be fine. If your talking about no piping what so ever off the exhaust side then you will have issues with lots of heat and exhaust being in the engine bay.
Also if your cars EMS/ECU requires a post turbo o2 sensor and its not in place yet, you might want to baby the car to the shop. Otherwise an open downpipe on a turbo car wont hurt anything(and is pretty common) besides your ears depending on where is dumps. Hope that helps
