🔧 BUILD LikeABauce302's 427 SBF Twin Turbo Build. 404 Error: LS Content Not Found

General Information

Since I've been on this site for awhile now, I figured its time to post up the project I've been working on. Some of you may recognize the car. The previous owner raced it quite a bit and ran it in the IMSM series.

Here is my 90 Mustang LX hatchback:

-Freddy Brown Built AOD

-3200 RPM stall converter

Front Suspension:
-AJE K-member and A-Arms
-94/95 Mustang spindles
-Moroso Trick springs
-Lakewood 90/10 shocks
-UPR Castor/Camber plates

Rear Suspension:
-TRZ double adjustable upper control arms
-TRZ single adjustable lower control arms
-stock springs
-Lakewood 70/30 shocks

Chassis and Rearend:
-Welded full length subframe connectors
-Welded torque boxes
-Aluminum driveshaft and safety loop
-Custom 9" rear end
-Roll cage soon to be installed

Brakes:
-Maximum Motorsports manual conversion kit
-94 Cobra master cylinder
-Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve
-Maximum Motorsports braided lines
-99 to 04 GT brakes all around

-Rear: 17x10 with 275/40/17 M/T ET Street Radials

There are probably a few things I'm missing. I bought the car in December of 2009 and it's been a work in progress ever since. It was a solid well built car when I bought it, but it needed some work to make it street driveable.

I've still got some work to go. Before spring I'm going to freshen up the rear end and I'm planning on installing a Holley EFI system. If I have enough time and funds left over, I want to install a roll cage of some sort since I'm planning on running at the drag strip quite a bit.

Some progress made today. I put in 50 hours of work in 4 days this week, so decided to take today off and work on the car this morning.

I finished adding supports to the driver's side wastegate, got the passenger side turbo back in place, welded in the passenger side O2 bung, and installed the passenger side downpipe.

Gussets added top and bottom to the driver's side wastegate pipe.

Yeah I'm using this one below. It works fine. For longer sections of exhaust or heaver parts it can be a little tricky to position things. Having an extra vice to set on the table is helpful for those situations.

Sick, thanks for the feedback. After redoing my workspace in my garage I lost my welding surface and don't want anything permanent. This would be nice to fold up and not take up floor space when im not burning metal.

Today I finalized how the alternator is going to be mounted. I used a mix of old alternator bracket parts to make something that works and I cut out a piece of aluminum plate to brace the alternator to the motor plate. I ordered some spacers and hardware from McMaster Carr for the support bracket.
