Picked up the stools and assembled them yesterday. Heading to Menards soon for material to finish the wall and shelves.

Not super happy with the seam but I can’t expect much from cheap paneling. Also I didn’t realize they are tongue and groove and come in different patterns. The shelves and bottles should cover most of it.

Also shelves are cut to length, going to start staining tonight and mounting the hardware tomorrow. Sox championship celebration picture for Shawn1112 Shawn1112.

Well there was a bottle of tile cleaner that leaked in the bag when I bought the hardware and I guess it got into the 2 bags of flanges causing some to rust. I cleaned them up with some scotch bright and they look kind of cool. I put together the pipes, flanged and caps, wiped them down with acatone and sprayed them with 2 coats of satin clear. I also sprayed the pipe straps black. Going to start mounting the hardware tomorrow.

Black pipe fittings always rust anyway. The pipe itself has a lacquer on it, fittings don’t. Go take a look at your gas lines, fittings will all be rusty and the pipe is mint

Absolutely. I was hoping to get them cleared before rust started but the tile cleaner accelerated it.

And done! I’m going to give the stain one more day to fully cure before putting bottles up. I also put 2 toggle bolts into the flanges on the 2 pipes that are anchored. They would have to rip through dry wall and paneling to move anything. Last bit of work is going to be cleaning and organizing then getting a sign made. I figure my last post will be the finished product and I’ll try to put together a rough costing break down. It was more than I expected…
