Lawn mower, and just mulch up the newly fallen leaves. Do it again next week when more leaves fall.

This coming weekend i'm going to run my riding mower over the yard and leaves again, but at the highest setting, which is 1" above where I last cut it. Will be enough to take care of the leaves but not touch the grass.

So I took my blade off to sharpen it and it looks trashed already and need a new one. Funny thing is I don’t remember running anything big over. Tried to find a good aftermarket blade since I want to try and get more lift but coming up short. Do they have anything for Ego Stink Star Stink Star

You could get more aggressive and get those chunks out. Not sure what a sharpal is. I use a cheap angle grinder from harbor freight with a 60 grit flap disc on it, but could get more aggressive with a typical grinding wheel.
Exactly, it’s a lawnmower blade. No need to get fancy. The most important thing is making sure it’s reasonably balanced after sharpening.

Luckily I haven’t needed anything for my ego yet. I just sharpen the blade every year. Should probably do it more often

Man asking how often to sharpen your blade is like asking when and how to wash your cast iron skillets.

Yea, I use a grinding wheel and take out a bulk of the bad stuff.
I thought grinding wheels or bench grinders were bad for sharpening the blades. Something about the metal getting hot and making it brittle?

I’ve just knocked the crap off, hit it with a steel brush, then a metal file to give it an edge. Quick spray of WD-40 to keep it from rusting, then back on to the shaft.
