So how much truth was in BB's oil speech? Cause it made a whole hell of a lot of sense.

It's spot on.

It almost directly out of this book (a good read, but slightly too scientific).

Both her and Hamm are completely wasted right now...in favor of Ali and her daughter showing off their ass for 25 minutes every episode.
Now that they have built Tommy's backstory well, they can move on. At least I hope. I am all for the Ex and kids adding to his chaotic life. But we need more of the work chaos. Especially his negotiations with land owners, employees, government, etc. He is a "fixer". Do more fixing. haha As well as interacting with other characters like Hamm and Moore.

Alot of filler too, which bothers me. We don't constantly just need random scenes of an oil pumper.

Show's formula so far: Amazing Billy Bob scene > smoking hot lawyer scene > increasingly creepy scenes involving a 17 year old daughter basically naked dancing around old men > BB's son around some poor Mexican getting injured > random scene of John Hamm's back of head.

Seeing how oil pumps work and the work they have to do to make them work is cool. But just distant shots showing the landscape is another thing.

Also, waiting to see if they show these guys "Throwing chain". Probaly would showing someone getting hurt doing it.

They have been showing jack pumps. Don't think they have shown them using Derricks. Aren't Derricks those large towers? Probably more expensive then their small time business can afford.

An oil derrick is a large, tower-like structure used to support the drilling equipment during the initial drilling of an oil well, while a pump jack is a mechanical device used to extract oil from a well once it's drilled, particularly when the natural pressure isn't enough to bring the oil to the surface; essentially, an oil derrick is for drilling, and a pump jack is for pumping oil out after the well is established.

It's not a fucking documentary about being a roughneck. It's a good entertaining show with general details about the oil field along with being a suspense dramatic TV show.

There used to be a reality TV show that did follow roughnecks back in the day.

Watching this show makes me regret not taking that job 20 years ago in Midland.
