There's something about 15's on a C6 that just hits right for me...

To put 15's on the back of the C6 (and C5?) isn't it necessary to modify the knuckle and/or swap out the rear caliper? I thought I saw some kit out there to do all that.

Spindles need to be changed, that is correct.

yep rear spindles need to be swapped out and if you have a z51, you have to switch to base model brakes/rotors.

So I have to say, my only complaint about the 6L80E is that its never had a transbrake... I had this same complaint with my old 08 C6.

My wallet is definitely being tickled to put a transbrake in the car for next season

lol yes and without shifting into 4th gear and hitting the rev limiter at the 1000 ft since the 8.50 pass was before the trans was built with a hardened intermediate shaft

Money permitting next year, it’ll be going for a re-tune and the trans brake since the trans was rebuilt with better hardened parts. I won’t be tracking the car until that happens.

In a bit of a tight spot at the moment since I just bought 2 acres of land and want to pay down that loan asap since it’s at 8.25% interest rate

This car literally isn’t much of anything special… 6.0 bottom end/LS3 top end/procharger and a drag pack.

Best part about it is I can get in it and drive cross country if I wanted

So... 1.27 on a fooot brake and 8.50s with a d1 at 160 + ? i highly doubt it not saying the car is slow but just not believing that.
