I don't understand the hate on the wheels. They aren't great but are livable.

I went with the 5 spoke, because they're black. The tridents are only partially painted gray.

Great color combo and black wheels look great even if they are the factory wheels.

all it’s missing to make it perfect is the grand sport hash’s on the fender, full stripe package, and yellow air dam protectors.

the dealers without a markup are at least 12 months out for delivery

That’s not bad. You should be able to flip it and make a good profit if that’s in your plan.

The C8.R badging is kind of ricer ish. Is there an option to not include it?

If you're reselling it, you will make more with the C8R package. I'm surprised you can still order one... They have been selling out. Just saw one on FB for $133k.

If you can get a limited production version with no additional markup then it's totally a no brainer. Even if the car itself isn't "better" or the options aren't your thing (neither of which seem true in this case), it's still worth doing because of the value retention

SO.. update..
I wasn't able to get an order in for the C8.R by the time my dealer got his allocation, all 1,000 C8.R's were gone.


so, this afternoon I took delivery of my second choice.

Initial impressions, after 35 miles

• fastest new car purchase ever, I was in and out within 45 mins
• break-in rev limiter is poopy
• I really miss not having a third pedal
• interior is light years ahead of my old C6
• center stack is a bit strange, and isolates you from the passenger
• the B pillar is a colossal blind spot
• love the steering wheel
• front lift is awesome
• kinda wish I went with a convertible, we'll see what it's like when the weather warms up
