Got att gibabit internet. Been doing speed tests the past month and results have been disappointing. Using their modem/ router they gave. The speeds going into the house are at 9xx according to the tests I did. But doing the test on my desktop I get anywhere from 30 down to I think max I've gotten is 150. Same wireless adapter on spectrum pulled 250-300 down. I did some reading and recently learned my adapter maxes out at 300 on 2.4 and 867 on 5ghz. It's a Netgear A6210 AC1200. How do I test to see if the att router is the bottleneck or if it's my equipment?

Ahh, if only this were true.

I setup an internal speed test server. So I can check wired/wireless speeds. So this isn't internet speeds, just LAN/WLAN speeds.

Okay, you're gonna have to tell me how, or point me to some directions with very short sentences and words less than three syllables. I've been wanting to do this for a while. I have the Wi-Fi Sweeper app on the iPhone, which does okay, but it really doesn't compare to using the antennas in a laptop, or the wired connections.

Tested out the “5g” on the new phone. I figured where I live out in Woodstock we wouldn’t have any coverage. Now of course I didn’t have mm wave coverage but nonetheless I wasn’t expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised with the speeds.

What do you think of the Xfinity mobile service? That runs on Verizon's network, right?

We had Verizon before and the coverage is obviously identical. Only difference is it costs less and I get automatic access to all the xfinity hotspots.
if you have xfinity for cable or internet it’s a great deal
I have Xfinity internet, but that's it. Maybe I'll look into it. Need four lines, with three of those needing new phones.
