To me it’s the body proportions. A wagon has the roof line extended out much further beyond the rear wheels.

That is an SUV because it's an XC series. If you want a wagon in the Volvo lineup you're looking at a V series. Similar enough I don't quite get what the difference is personally. I think the V's a bit lower. That said I'd hit either in a T6 trim.
