Is the 2021 Raptor getting a V8?

0-60 is what matters on a day to day basis.

also out of curiosity-

6.2 goes in 6.9

ecoturd goes in 6.0

If I had fuck you money I'd purposefully stuff a 6.2 into the new body style and have the best of both worlds. The new truck is worlds better, no doubt. I just can't get over the wet pussy fart after a world record creampie competition sound that it makes.

And then reap the tears and salt from FRF from both sides of the argument.

you called one a "slug"

i wanted an objective measurement for your subjective statement. i got one.

there is no question here. do you see a question mark posted by me somewhere?

Seat of the pants measurement, 6.2 was held back out of a stop, whether that was a converter issue or just a low end issue, I have no clue. I buy them and drive them, and have -0- love for any of them, it’s just a car.

the Raptor efficiently put its power down without a lick of wheelspin on its way to 60 mph in a thundering 5.2 seconds. As you pin your right foot to the firewall, you feel the engagement of each gear shift on the way to clipping the quarter mile in 13.9 seconds at 97.3 mph. By breaking into the 13s, this truck stands head and shoulders above any bygone SVT Raptor—the fleetest of which nailed 60 in 6.5 seconds and completed the quarter mile in 15.1 seconds at 91.3 mph.

Yes. I have not been living under a rock. I was also fairly active in the OG thread. It's an interesting engine, with interesting possibilities. Who knows what Ford will do with it and who knows what the aftermarket will be able to do with it. Its path has just begun.

I think Ford COULD put it into the Raptor, but I put that chance right about zero. I'm sure it fits and would run just fine. But they can also put a twin turbo V6 in it, and also be fine, and people seem to buy the shit out of that already, so why mess with the recipe?

No one buys these for a 1/4 mile toy. My ‘13 felt like it was dragging an anchor compared to the ‘18.

The Raptor’s purpose was to run off road, and it does that, a Mustang, Camaro, Porsche purpose is not off road,

And Ecoboost is the best set up for the Raptor. And like @jakJay says, tune all the ecoboosts.
