Insufficient switching SES

Ok, so I THOUGHT the mileage was pretty crappy on this car... dash only reads 17.6MPG AVG. This morning the SES goes off and throws an insufficient switching code.

What's the best O2 to drop back into the car? Are the cheapo AZ bosch sensors ok, or do I need to get something else?

There's a lot of debate about this. I hear the Densos are good when they work, but I got a bum one, then just went to the Delco. I get the switching code too, but mine is likely because of an exhaust leak or placement in the pacesetter headers.

My scan shows o2 data that looks like the teeth of a 300yr old alligator. Raggedy peaks and valleys. I'm sure its pretty shot... not sure its ever been replaced.

Id go with a delco. I need one myself. My NB O2s at idle are about 003-007.

Awesome price. supposedly read better than stock because of the different style of vanes around the sensing element. who knows for sure though.

or you could get a wideband that can simulate narrowband and start off right (LC1)

Oh yea. That's right keep your gm all gm. Don't buy a Japanese sensor....they don't know what they're doing with electronics.

I forgot I had a o2 code, maybe this is why I'm averaging 16 mpg on 60/40 city/highway driving.
