No it clips in. I've had a couple SHO's since 2010 and never had a problem. Some car washes with those buzz saw brushes have obviously damaged a lot of different vehicles.

Quality ceramic coating is the shit with these. I took my truck through multiple times a week and it never had a swirl mark to speak of. Tri-coat metallic black to boot lol.

Crew/Mike's offers such an awful wash anyway. They love turning my license plates into tacos and the car still has dirt all over it when it's done. It sucks because I have a Crew right across the street from work.
