I mean your not wrongz but more down low torque and similar numbers up top compared to an ss2 without having to dick with springs and stuff makes it a bit more attractive

If the engine's out fuck it I'd do springs. While they're $100 extra you may as well have the whole package and have springs that aren't 200k miles old.

Depends on if your looking at cam bearings or not really 😅
Summit cam > ss2 numbers wise. I do need to pass emissions so that much overlap seems like a worse idea.

I have pac 1219 springs for it. They’re rated for like .625 lift I think.

If you're gonna turbo it fuck it I couldn't blame you for going LS at that point. I'm just thinking throw some quickish power at this and leave it be.
I need my other Buick doing burnouts before anything drivetrain happens to the wagon as it’s my now daily driver. It’ll get some basic suspension and brake stuff for now.

I’m unsure if it’s getting boost, haven’t really thought that far out. It may get the aluminum 6.0 I have over the 4.8 and use the 4.8 with boost in my 70

I think na 6.0 and 4.8 with all the boost is the perfectly logical choice here. Maybe just spray down what's in it until it's tired of it and then throw the 6.0 in and do the same? Just hide the bottle for inspection time and send it lol
That LT-1 will hold out way the fuck longer than the 4L60E will.......

Throw cogs in the back then, some tires, some bolt ons and maybe just maybe a cam if you're feeling frisky. It's 260HP stock but the cam in it is dirt tame, like 191/[email protected] so what does one expect? Looking at the forums a bit more the CC502 is 218/[email protected] vs 224/[email protected] I'd bet you could get about 15-17inhg at idle (my 383 with a 224/230 cam pulled 15.5" or so but you have less cubes.) Even a stock LT-1 cam would be an upgrade but I don't think I'd bother with the engine in car. Not sure on the smog though, OBD-I where we are has always been not tested.

Dumping the 256es for 3.42 or 3.73s and some not-sketchy tires will transform this I suspect.

My LT-1 with its 231-239 110lsa cam idles around 15-17” at about 900rpm. PCM shows about 57-59kpa while an external vacuum gauge shows 13”.

I trust the map sensor more than the cheapo vacuum gauge I had on the car.

It runs power brakes just fine.
