Just find a lower mileage gt trans and swap over your diff and cover. You get 3.29 gears and a higher stall for less than $300. At least that's how much I found them for 2 years ago.

What size is the stall in a GT trans, compared to a GTP trans?

just drop the cradle to get the trans out disconnect the harness and a couple of other things and bam like 2-3hr u got the damm thing outeasy as pie.I used tr6s as well and my gas mileage is shitty like 16 and i got a boost/Vac gauge its fine when the car warms up up if its cold the vac is at like 11-14.

Ya, I like this idea. Just never done it on a GTP, so learning how to drop that cradle the first time might really suck.

You can use the hd diff out of the gtp trans in your car, and IDK about the 04's i completely forgot about the trans being different. Damn...

The car got 28MPG during the road trip last weekend. Trans is still hoppin around a bit in cruise gears @ partial throttle, but I've learned to drive around it for now.

And I can still beat punk kids in Integras.

I love this car more and more.
