Replaced cluster and hvac bulbs with led, fixed cracked solder for the gear indicator lcd and got my head unit installed.

Found an issue this morning when it was 20* out, erratic idle and surging till it warmed up. I remember my Silverado doing this and it was the intake manifold gaskets so I guess I’ll get some of those on order.

I'd like to see how yours turned out.
The hvac turned out good, but won’t know about the cluster till later. I only had 1 bulb burnt out but figured since I wanted to fix the gear indicator might as well. Wish I would of done the info lcd too, looks dim now

I need to pull the dash piece back out and adjust my head unit brackets. Sits too low. Also need to print out a usb holder for where the 12v acc sits.

Decided to do my intake manifold gaskets since the temps are supposed to drop this week into the teens. Wasn’t terrible in there, typical dirt collected under the intake and gaskets were either original or someone decided to use old shitty plastic gm gaskets again.

I think their "white" is more of a 6k cool white not a warm white (3k). Combine that with the blue translucent backing on the gauge face and this is what you get. It's identical to mine. I'm warming up to my blue'ish, I wish it were brighter for being an LED. However, I am still going to change mine eventually.

In fairness, I'm comparing it to when I did the LED conversion on the old burb (which were PC 194 twist locks, so it was easy), and it was a night and day difference. The stock 194's while all working were dim. Putting those LED's in was like the sun came out. :D

So when I did these, I expected the same. I have had a thought in the back of my head, I wonder if I have a power issue to it. Meaning, it's not getting the full voltage it should. But I would like to see how it tests out with the newer LED's once I get them in before venturing down that road.
