Well I have been on the hunt a long time for a 740i sport shorty (manual) and could not resist this one. Previous owner performed the 6 speed swap out of a 540i M-sport and this thing drives amazing. Motor is low miles but has been completely torn apart and all the problem areas common for these BMW V8s addresses (Timing Chain Guides, Vanos Solenoids, Water pump, all gaskets, entire cooling system replaced and much more. One of the quietest 4.4s I have heard. Drove it 300 miles home and averaged 25mpg at 80mph :bigthumb:. Chassis has higher miles but the body is pretty darn immaculate for age and miles. Definitely will be dropping it with some coils like my 540i or at minimum lowering springs. Only needs a couple little things sorted out nothing that affects driving it currently. I think I will just have to keep both. I love the look of my lowered 5 series. And frankly can't really sell it for much so no point. :s00ls:

Don’t disagree but I know these cars pretty well now. Talked to the guy for sometime. Owns his own shop and has some other impressive builds. Was pretty comfortable making the trip to at least see it. After that the rest is history it purrs.

I am thinking that is the best option. I need to buy a farm with poll barns or something.

Seriously, you need to start a thread labeled "Blueoval4lifes garage" or something like that. Then post up all your purchases and sales. So we can keep up with your ever-changing collection. You always seem to be buying vehicles that are off the beaten path for most people. But in an awesome way.

Yup, I hardly post on the furums..but new proud owner here, loving everything about it thus far. She cleaned up nicely but still more to do and the light modding will begin. To most it is an old BMW but this thing is a unicorn gem to the true car enthusiasts I have shown it to. Thanks again Mark. Good stuff!
