How fast your toon go?

Used market is small from what you are looking for. My dad looked seriously for over a year for a "newer" tritoon with a "big" motor. He wanted 150+, tritoon, and less than 10 years old. I think he wanted to spend under $30K. Ended up buying new and spending way over $30K but really because he couldn't find anything on the used market.

After seeing those Bennginton/Yamaha reviews on the pontoons I am impressed. Just kinda weird no one configures them like that. It is all tritoons. Looks like you are saving money, get the same top speed, but do not get the handeling. Probably good for quieter lakes not the chain.

there's just the one right? like LOTO shootout for pontoons? likely held by the triple?

my neighbor had one for a while- might still if single IO pontoon is a record to have. said it had like 1200hp.

Roland’s toon had just a killer set up on it motors on jack plates propped for topend only and it was light

Gouty worked with Mason Aron of Skunkworks Marine, and they started with a Dart 540 motor (GM block). Aron suggested they take this engine to the max by adding a pair of Whipple superchargers. Using twin screws to compress air so more of it can be jammed into the combustion chamber, along with a larger charge of fuel, the superchargers create 10 to 11 pounds of boost. The result is an engine that can produce up to 1,350 hp, but, amazingly, it still idles pretty well. To handle all this torque, Gouty installed a Max Machine Works lower unit, one of the strongest and most expensive on the market.

Big time you essentially turn your outboard in to a surface piercing drive without changing the angle like you do trimming it out so the boat stays flat and doesn’t air out as much

I’ve been looking at these hard I wouldn’t buy one with the 400 but I want the new 300v8 you can see how awesome the jackplate is for this boat in the picture prop centerline even with the bottom of the hull with no trim used

I won't feel bad about getting gapped by one in my 18' Lund 43.5 mph on GPS with a 2 stroke mid 90's 115 mercury cause I didn't have to take out a mortgage to own it...:lmao: At least I could feel like a winner out of the hole if I raced one or in rough condition's like on the Big Pond where the DeepV shines!

That sounds fun, but isn't that way overkill for what I'm trying to do? Keep in mind, a big lake around here is maybe 10 miles long and a couple wide.

You could probably pull a skier with a 150, I pull my wife on a wake surf board with a 40hp

Tubing takes a lot of power if your pulling a couple people a lot more drag, but skiing takes a good hole shot to pop them up out of the water
