Exactly - Lower mileage ones have sold for half that in recent months. Honestly that’s probably too high. Even in a crazy speculative market there are way way too many of these to be worth anything near what they are asking.
There were only 547 GNXs built, so I get it, but there are so many other things I'd buy for $200,000. If I wanted a classic in that territory, I would be looking for a Boss 429. Otherwise I would buy an exotic of some sort (who am I kidding...I'd probably dump $200k into a fox body lol).
A few ultra low mileage GNX and GNs sold for good money recently and suddenly there has been a flood of them at the auctions. Too many were squirreled away when new and once one sold for good money, the barn doors opened and they all came out.
I would have zero desire to buy or own this car, because I couldn't drive it. It's not THAT good looking to just be garage art. If I got a GN or GNX i'd actually want to, you know, DRIVE the damn thing.
