CGP is a good place for hid info..

the way i understand it HIDS will melt our stock fog light housings. you have to buy metal replacement housings and insert chinese hid kit off ebay.

+1 to ebay. Got both my headlights and fogs for <100 shipped to my door. My fogs haven't melted yet... but then again, its cold out. We'll see what happens.

HIDs should not melt the stock fogs, but higher output halogens will since they generate more heat.

I had silver stars in there before, but they seriously lasted less than 2 months before one burned out. HIDs FTW.

cost depends on what type of bulb you are using and at what Wattage.

you can find them at www.ddmtuning.com , they work great and they have a lifetime guarantee. They are also located in the US so its easy to get parts, I had a problem with my girls HIDs and they sent me parts with no questions asked and no request for parts back! That and they are the Gen IV style.

Their ballasts look like they're built well too. When my current HIDS die I'll check them out...

It just makes them start up faster. I'm not in that much of a rush personally.

3000k is nice too, that's what i run as fog lights cause they're yellow. Nice combo with the 6k's for headlights.
