Help with installing seats

An educated guess is that your car did not originally have power seats and the 2 prong connection was for the seatbelt stuff.
You will have to either find a loom from a 96 that had power seats or wire and fuse it direct. Should just be one hot and a ground for the additional 2 wires.

You can cut the power seat wires out of the existing plug and make up your own plug for the added 2 wires if you want.

Anybody! I am trying to install some seats on my 1996 convertible.. I am trying to install a pair of 2002 seats. The 2002 seats are power and it seems that there is a 4 prong adapter on the bottom. The adapter coming out of the floor of the 1996 appears to be a 2 prong. Help!! any suggestions?
Thanks
On your '96 the Black with White is the power and the Black is the ground.
The Black with White is split to also power the power lumbar.

On the 2002 seats, the Dark Green is the power and the Black is the ground.
You may have a Red which is the power for the lumbar compressor and another Black for the lumbar ground.

Or Simply:

1996 Car Black/White=12V
Black = Ground

2002 seats Dk/GN = seat power
Blk = Ground
Red = lumbar power
Blk = Ground
