I just changed out my alternator (PITA BTW) and now there is a louder than berfore whine under throttle. I used a metal pipe to listen to the alternator to make sure the bearings were not bad. It sounded fine and I moved around the engine bay listening to each area that has a pulley and I didn't hear any bearing noise from anything. Both my dad and I think it sounds like it's from the intake side of the blower:dunno: I put the pipe on the snout side of the blower and it sounds fine too. Hoping someone can help. My vidoe camera is in Scottsdale with my wife so I can't take a video of it.

you should be able to push on the belt where it comes off the idler pulley up to the blower pulley on the passenger side ( not on the side you added the extra one for belt wrap) and be able to flex it about a 1/2 inch..it you cant flex it its too tight.

but are you sure your not hearing the blower pulley. those reichard no slip pulleys are loud
