I’d assume once they’re replaced under warranty that having them disabled isn’t a bad thing.

That is what I said, Lifter failure.

He asked about a disabler then. I said I am running the Range unit.

What was the code it threw? Glad it’s got a warranty, these covid build trucks seemed scary.
I didn't see the sheet in detail but I could see Engine Misfire as the description on one line item. I was surprised it pulled around 8 codes.

2-3 were for the parking brake, 2-3 were the engine codes and then I had one for my keyfob battery. who knew that was a code?

it electronically having afm/dod isn't what caused his shit to break. it having the lifters it has is what did.

the disabler is a bandaid at best

stealership just called

Parking brake was a loose sensor, already fixed

Mis fire is cylinder 1 with no compression either. Service manager said oil was on the plug as well so they are popping the head.

Bets on it being the DFM lifters? Any takers? :angrys00ls:

The only good news is the CPO warranty gives me a rental fully covered by Chevy so I'll be picking up a new 2024 Silverado to putz around in while they tear apart he engine....

Why did I buy this truck again 🤦‍♂️

At least they found something and like others have mentioned it seems like once shit is replaced it’s good.

I’ve never dealt with the LT afm stuff but I think the ls afm shit was blown out of proportion a bit. Sure there were failures but really how common? I’ve owned some wildly high mileage and/or high hour stuff and it’s fine. (Well one had the afm shit replaced before I got it lol)
