Are they all written by the same team? If so I don't care what the source material is. They will blow nuts.Aegons Conquest will be legit. I think the 3rd one is Robert's Rebellion which will also be awesome.
I don't think HBO has to worry about renewing GoT based shows. They know people will go watch them. They can certainly take the "X episodes over X seasons approach". The problem is, they want to milk it longer than they should. HotD should not have been 4 seasons. But they gotta milk that cow.Aegons conquest is covered in Fire & Blood, so it has direct source material. Probably as much as House of the Dragon does. These shows could all be great, IF they have a clear cut plan for them. Like we want to tell this story, it will take us X episodes over X seasons to do so. What we all know will happen is they wont do that, they will rush through a bunch in the first season and then drag it out as long as possible if/when its renewed, until the last season when they have to rush through the rest of the story.
I agree, they dont have to like traditional shows. I actually think they use that for marketing more than anything else these days. What I meant was more like they will milk it as long as possible until the numbers are bad enough then they will go "Season 89 will be the last season!" Then because they probably haven't really advanced the story for the previous 87 seasons the will rush to finish in 6 episodes, 4 of which are just meetings.I don't think HBO has to worry about renewing GoT based shows. From what I remember HBO straight up told Beioff and Weiss they could do anything they wanted. Run as long as needed, as many episodes per season, run time could be whatever etc. They were like Nah, we can do it in two seasons. with season 8 being short. That is another thing that makes those last seasons so bad, is that they could have been great if they gave a shit. They were in a hurry to go do all the other projects they had lined up, most of which they lost when season 8 came out.If anything, GoT was 2 seasons shorter than it should have been.
