Hayley Atwell plays another action heroine in the first trailer for Tomb Raider, a new anime series that will arrive at Netflix on 2024. Subtitled The Legend of Lara Croft, the series comes courtesy of Powerhouse Animation. The studio is responsible for another of the streaming platform's acclaimed video game adaptations, Castlevania, and are now in charge of presenting Lara Croft's latest epic adventure. The show is part of one of the most recent continuities of the character's story, which began in 2013 with a reboot of the entire game universe that kicked off with Tomb Raider, and continued in Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. However, at the moment, no details have been shared about the plot of this particular chapter of the story.

Watched this over the weekend. It was good, but nothing ground breaking.

I havent played the new tomb raider games since they rebooted them so I don’t know how close this is to the new Lara Croft. But there were plenty of references to Trinity which is part of the games storyline

The fact that Lara is Gay in this show is thankfully only in past reference and not too heavily focused on. I was afraid after seeing the online articles about that before it came out.

I’ll watch s2 if it ever comes out. But I don’t think I’ll be rewatching this again. It’s worth a single watch.

I played the reboot, and rise, but I still haven't played shadow, even tho I do own a physical copy of it (and its still wrapped up) :ROFLMAO: should really get to that one of these days.

I did wanna watch this show, but there's just so much other shit right now, and this weekend my priority was my rewatch of Arcane. Gotta make sure I get that knocked out
