i really wonder what the difference is- if it's in tuning or if my truck has a bigger fan or waterpump or something robbing power. who knows. id love to pull a file from a 2500 6.0 gasser and compare to mine.

Same torque numbers and similar rpm for peak. It’s gotta be tune. My 2500 had a mechanical fan

my buddy's 2015 has electric fan

but iirc the 11-14 hd trucks share more with the 15-19 hd trucks than the 07-10

Question: When you're looking at HP numbers for the 3500, are you mixing/matching Vortec 6000 HP numbers with the new 6.6 numbers from Chevy's website?

The reason I say this, is because Chevrolet's website isn't very clean in this, but any 3500HD truck is the old 2019.

Go to GM Fleet, and get the new 3500HD numbers. It is the same as the 2500HD... 401hp and 464lb/ft of torque.
