The incident began at approximately 9:26 p.m., when ShotSpotter sensors detected gunfire at the Kingsborough Houses in Crown Heights, The New York Timesreported.

Officers responded to the area and learned that a man in his 40s had been shot in the area of Bergen Street and Rochester Avenue.

The wounded victim had crawled away from the place where he’d been shot and police were not initially able to find him.

The 34-year-old alleged gunman pointed his weapon at police, at which point they immediately began yelling at him to drop his weapon, The New York Times reported.

Bystanders also screamed at the suspect to comply and to drop the gun, cell phone footage showed......

New talking point is "Defund the police". Let's see how that works out. The proponents are literally talking about social justice, neighborhood people stepping up to defend anyone who needs help. Neighborhood people.
What is hilarious about "defund the police" is it will impact the poorer communities the worst.....and liberals claim its "conservative white men" that want to keep the poor people down.
