Yeah FORscan should be pretty comparable to the tech2. I'm not sure about the tech2win.

I'll gives that a try checking those. Probably a good idea with the age. I don't think that would cause misfires on just two cylinders, but I guess it's worth a shot.

Wouldn't have expected a bolt on the back of my 3800 to only hit 1 and 3 with a vacuum leak either tho lol

FORscan is awesome. For some reason, I was not able to clear codes with hpt, but I can with this. So, all my codes are gone now, except for the rear o2.

Also, first time pulling with it today. This trailer weighs about 7k. It did ok, but going through the hills, I needed to downshift to 5th to keep from losing mph.

Did you get your issues sorted out then?

I've learned a bit more Ford lately and finally conquered tuning out the ecoboost but I learned a few things along the way. Idk if it applies here at all.

First being you have to be connected but can't be actively scanning to read or clear codes.

Second being the timing maps go through about 18 different tables that you have to log and it'll tell you what percent of what table your using and you have to make adjustments as necessary. Most of those being in table 7 and 9 as I've come to find out those are WOT.

Thats about all I've got off the top of my head but if you wanna rally and get hpt to add some things I'm all in for seein if we can get some stuff added. I've got 2 of em wantin played with and haven't messed with yet figuring there isn't enough support in there to do what I'll need to.

I'll have to get one of em over here and pull a file and see what all parameters are there or needed but I can't imagine they're anywhere near as wild as the gdi end of things and now im curious

Yeah, I think I have it all sorted out. It's throwing a code for trailer brake controller fault and instrument cluster, but from what I can tell, that might be a problem with the PCM.

I'll have to dig more into the o2 wiring to see if I can fix that.
Could be somethin stupid like a connector back there or the damn dimmer switch too. Glad you got it figured out man forscan looks like a nice thing to add to the toolbox one of these days

Pulled it pretty darn hard over the weekend with this garden project. It pulls decent enough on the highway. I really love pulling out of a field with it....the gear reduction with the zf6 and 4 low is amazing.

But this is the fuel mileage...

It's actually a bit better than that. It has 275 tires on it, but the speedo is calibrated for 245's. I'll have to see if I can change that.

So um, I think I figured out what this came with the dyno for. I haven't really done much diggin but will it run a log like hpt? I wonder if a guy can use it for some dodge stuff too this sct and diablo business I'm lookin at lately looks like it sucks.

6.0 is down again, so I've been driving this. Also because the heater works a lot better being gas and a small cab since I'm working outside most days.

The belt tensioner went out on it last night though.

I pulled it off, and the pulley fell off the tensioner arm.

No idea how I made it home.

$26 later, I'm back on the road.

You're lucky. Tritons usually eat the front cover when that pulley let's go

GTPpower GTPpower and R Rdrnnr what software did you end up using for disabling a downstream o2 code? My ‘12 Super Duty has no cats and I’d love to shut the code off for that.

I’m also very interested in ForScan... programming keys, shutting off TPMS lights, etc would be awesome

I haven't messed with this thing at all. But, I believe forscan can do all that.
