No. You're going to want to do at least 3 flushes with distilled water.

Do you have fumoto drain valves in your block for coolant draining?

I don't. Would be nice if I did. On the passenger side drain, can I just leave the wiring connected to the starter and unbolt the mount bolts? Then just move the starter a bit, remove the block drain plug, then put it all back together? Or do I need to completely remove the starter?

How many gallons of distilled water should I get? 25-30 gallons?

30 gal should be enough for 3 flushes then 50/60 mix with new coolant.

I have a long 8mm Allen socket that reaches through the starter terminals and allows me to remove the drain without removing starter.

And it's ok to just let the block drain on the starter?

Parts are starting to roll in. I was hoping to get the flushing process done tonight, but it doesn't look like the oil cooler has even shipped yet. So I guess everything is on hold till I at least get tracking info.





I didn't realize how big this radiator actually is.

Ohh. Shit. How thick is that radiator? Is looks like it's the cheaper one that's like half the thickness. Someone like you will notice a difference

Maybe 2" or so. I'll measure it versus the Ford radiator.

Whew. Just went and measured. Both cores are 2-1/4" thick.

As far as I can tell it is. I'll get a pic in the morning. From what I can find online, the smaller cores are 1-3/4".

The overall length of this one is 6". Do you think that would be too long? I just looked, and there doesn't seem to be much room there for an overly long Allan socket.

Nothing stopping you from cutting it down to size. Better to have one too long than short

Knock the bit out of the socket, chop saw it, smooth edges and pop back into socket.
