I thought it worthwhile to resurrect this thread after I tried Chef John's grilled cheese which has cheese on the inside and on the outside. Super easy add on to a regular grilled cheese sandwich and it gives more flavor and a crispy texture to the entire sandwich.

Add additional step.

Douse liberally with Brandy, set on fire. Put out with Lemon juice.

Saganaki grilled cheese sammich.

Or like my original post said. Use Parmesan cheese on the outside.

i tried the mayo..well, it was actually "whipped dressing" which i think is just cheap mayo. lol. but i didn't taste much of a difference, but it did start to burn much faster.

Whipped dressing is miracle whip ?
