Table is 99.9% complete. Tacked on the top plates, marked/drilled holes for the vice, and removed the mill scale. Holy Fahk was this a pain in the ass, had I known how much work it was I might have opted to not ? It came out great though. The only thing left to do is weld on some 3/4-1” small pipe pieces onto both sides of the table to hold the mig gun. I must have like 25-30 hours in the thing!

You should look into incorporating a hitch to mount your vice on. Gives you tons more versatility. Here's a YT video with some ideas.

Thanks Chris, I am not sure I'll need that but it looks cool. Something I will probably run off of my hitch is a manual pipe bender. I am not sure my table had enough weight to support the forces of a manual bender and I don't want to anchor a stand into the garage floor.

(y) My vice is on the corner of my bench and can swivel, but I can't tell you how many times I wish it was out a few more inches to be able to work on some bent piping/sheet metal.

I hear ya, maybe sometime down the road I will feel the same. I don’t know what I don't know.

damn, that table looks impressive! Great job.

Thanks dude!

Just don’t weld for 4 hours straight in shorts. This was day 3, probably took a few weeks to get back to normal

I’ve read enough not to. This whole weekend I was in the garage in jeans and welding jacket sweating my ass off. I’ve just accepted that comfort is going right out the window with this.
