James shockerracing.com shockerracing.com was interested to find out if I could remedy some trail "scratches" or if he was better off having a body shop repaint some areas.

Areas of concern front and rear fender flares on each side and the rear corner of the top on both sides. After a visit and a couple test spots, no paint work needed.

There was 1 spot on the passenger side rocker that did require a trip to the body shop. More on this later.

This will be a picture heavy thread. The Jeep was dropped off Friday afternoon for the decon wash.

PreWash: BiltHamber Touchless
Rinse
Foam and bucket wash with Obsessed Garage Decon Soap
Re-Foam and clay with The Rag Company's ultra clay towel
Rinse and dry
Tires were pre-treated with Shine Supply Wise Guy
Tires and wheels foamed/cleaned with P&S Brake Buster

Jeep was picked up and taken home. I went to James' house this morning for the polishing steps
I wiped it down with Optimum No Rinse

The areas that required compounding:
Buff and Shine 50/50 UroFiber MF pad + The last cut compound ( 5" Milwaukee cordless polisher, 3" via Porter Cable 7424XP, 1" Rupes Nano iBrid )
Wipe down with CarPro Eraser.

Polish/Seal: Yellow Rupes foam pad + Rupes Uno Advanced

Windows were cleaned with BiltHamber Traceless
Tires were dressed with Meguiar's Hyper Dressing 3:1
1.5-2 hours spent on Friday evening + 5 hours today

Dude it turned out so good! I was hoping to repair 5 years of trail abuse and tree branch “pinstriping” and you knew exactly what to do!

Mook Mook this is the not so “Neon Gladiator” with the wrap removed. I am prepping this one to be sold to make room in the garage for the new C7 Z06. As promised I will make a thread for it.

The transformation on your Jeep is truly impressive! It's amazing how detailing and polishing can bring back the shine and beauty of a vehicle, especially after years of trail adventures. Exciting to hear about your plans for selling it to make room for the new C7 Z06. Looking forward to the thread you'll be creating for it! 🚗💨

That would have taken me like 18 hours spread out over 3-4 days :ROFLMAO: Awesome work as usual.

Trust me, it could have taken much longer.

Looks awesome per usual. But how the fuck u do that in 7hrs. I did a black Wrangler a few years ago. Worst shape that than and I had every bit of 12hrs of correction. That included pulling pieces of the hood and tailgate

Everyone works at their own pace.
I make 1 horizontal and 1 vertical pass and check my work. The jeeps paint seemed a bit soft because there was a lot of haze after minimal work.

I'm sure there can be some time saved with implementing a couple tweaks
