JFish75 reached out regarding some Gav treatment on his Camaro. After a few texts and a phone call, plans were set. Drop off Thursday night. Majority of work done on Friday after work, finishing touches Saturday morning.
Nothing crazy as Jason likes to maintain the car. Nothing beats waxing your car, right ?T his leaves room for him to do that.
Process:
Wash: OG Decon soap
Clay: The car was did not have much contamination but for good measure, I went over the car with the Rag Company's ultra clay towel
Wheels: I used the OG decon wash in the bucket and foam cannon, the wheels did not require heavy cleaners. I used Shine Supply Wise Guys to clean the tires.
Rupes Uno Protect was used as an All in One product to perform minor correction and leave behind protection.
I used Rupes medium yellow wool pads, 5" and 3" and 1" was yellow foam.
I would say 50% or more on the correction side. There are some deeper swirls ( I am careful to not call them 'scratches' ) that could use some heavier cutting.
The wheels were sealed with Collinite 476 Super Double coat, Tires dressed with Meguairs Hyper dressing 3:1.
I wiped the car and exterior glass down with Bead Maker this morning.
I cleaned the tail pipes with P21S polishing soap, they were not really dirty but I did it anyway.
This will be picture heavy:
Tucked in Thursday night:
Red is difficult to capture defects. The phone would not cooperate. I even turned the lights off and only used the inspection light, still was pretty tough:
Here is the test spot I sent to Jason:
