At the beginning of the season I thought I would have a bunch of lifted trucks to do....well... I have done 2 and may have more coming.
But
Chargers seem to be where it's at this year. I posted a thread on the 2013 V6, I did the white Daytona from last year again ( worked on it on a Saturday night, so not many pictures were taken ).
Enter the Bullitt-esque patient for Sunday. The car needs some wiring finished, interior panels etc.... but it runs and drives. I believe 440 and automatic.
It did not start yesterday, flexible fuel hose found to be the culprit late last night.
Anyways on to the goods.

Wash: Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash
Clay: Nanoskin handy towel + nanoskin glide
Vinyl top cleaned with Meguiar's #39 H.D. vinyl cleaner
Vinyl top received 303 Aerospace Protectant
Bumpers, gas filler and trim was wiped down with Flitz Metal Polish via an applicator sponge
Wheels and tires were done by me previously in June. Unfortunately the chrome is flaking a bit on the spokes but they look decent for now.
The paint was rough under the lights.
Rupes LHR 15 Mark II + Lake Country MF cutting pads + Menzerna FG400
Second step was done with Blackfire One Step via LC Orange polishing pad.
Lastly, Final wipe down with Bead Maker.

The paint is about 80-85% better. Not perfect, it has some deeper scratches and small paint chips. Current fenders are fiberglass but steel fenders are in hand for possible paint and installation.

Upon arrival, :

Here is a MF towel after 1 pass over the trunk:

Yep, seen it on your ig and was really impressed.

I’m thinking I’m ganna hit you up when my paint is done for ceramic.

would be an honor to coat a chevelle.
one guy i follow had to correct alot on a 70 chevelle after the body shop was done with the paint job.
it was tough to see how the shop left it...

not sure if that was the case here.
I took my coating thickness gauge and there was PLENTY of paint on all metal surfaces, so I wasnt concerned about the cutting step

Well, we’ll see. If it’s not ready for ceramic when I pick it up someone’s getting their ass beat at the shop.

I agree. Just be sure to ask how long to wait until something can be applied to the car.

Looks great. Have you done some stone chip repair we could see?

Thanks...I dont have many pictures or video of it.
I can take some this weekend. I've noticed a few more on my truck.
I have some fine tip applicators from automotive touch up and for larger jobs a extra fine tip painting "pen"
