Got a little 220v heater but doesn’t do much for my garage since it’s 3 car.
I had a gas line ran and found this at homedepot

ideally want one that only burns outside air and vents back outside but I don’t have $2k to drop.
Anyone use this or have any experience with it or should I buy a mr heater hotdawg from menards for $369, then whatever it costs for the exhaust vent and other shit. Really not crazy about drilling holes in my new siding nor can I afford to pay someone

ive used one just like that for 6-7 years and it works very well, I have it turned down to the first position of heat right now my new garage is very insulated it keeps it around 55 at that setting

I have that 30,000 in my little shack/cabin.
I don't notice the smell at all, and I have never smoked and have a very sensitive nose.
Others have said they smell it immediately, others don't??
I have 2 CO2 detectors, including 1 that is 3' away and they have never gone off.

It will definitely keep it warm, I'm at 700-800' I believe, and it's on setting 2 of 5.
I would guess anything with finished walls & ceilings would stay warm enough, even without a ton of insulation.
Much cheaper than electric.

Kind of nervous to blast a 3 or 4” hole in the siding
You guys have pics of your setup and the vent that goes outside?
Does that thing come with everything I need or will I need other stuff to?
i can take some pictures of my reznor. it would be the same deal as the Mr heater unit.

but really simple. just bore a 6" hole through the wall and siding, then place and caulk your thimble in place

here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Selkirk-3-in-Type-B-Adjustable-Wall-Thimble-187703HD/300255799

then get some duct and pipe it through it, finish it with a weather cap vent thingy.

Vented is better, I went with unvented because it has electric heat, and the 1st 2 days I used the place it was over $5 a day.
So I just grabbed what they had before I went broke every time I used the place.
Plus it's temporary until this big Chicago contract is over than I'm moving every thing to Indiana, house, shop & shack!!!

I put an option on the spread 2 doors down from DEEZUZ!!!!

Here's mine. The chimney was not as bad as I had feared to install. Vented heaters work so much better.

Well I bought the first one since it was $189 at Menards only to find out I don’t have anywhere to mount it. Needs 8” free on each side and 36” from the ceiling. So will get the other one. A guy that did work for me before said he would install it for $150 plus parts. I can work with that I think
