Where is the fuel filter? Under the car in the back by the gas tank?
Also can the fuel line clips be released without a special tool?

It is in front of the gas tank above the passenger side halfshaft. Have fun reaching it! :biggthump

No, you need a fuel line disconnect tool that you can get at pretty much any auto store.

You should see the fuel filter location on the '05+, it's on the driver's side unibody rail and is covered by a plastic cover that is a pain in the neck to remove, several different socket sizes for the nuts and bolts, along with pushpins that don't come out easily either.

I was told by Rick @ Anderson Ford for to use only a Ford Motersport filter. Some brands don't flow as good

I have been using Napa fuel filters on all my vehicles for years with no issues.
