I almost hate to put a plow on this thing... all three were in Texas until summer of ‘18 lol.

Welp the ol’ lady’s dad tried to escape from the hospital today so we had to drop what we were doing and send it down to Indy. Didn’t have time to grab my Prius from the yard and her Ranger needs tires, hasn’t left town in a year and just generally sucks to road trip in being the single cab flavor.

So in other news, the sight unseen auction truck I’d put 18 miles on prior to this did great for the 290 mile rip here.

She’s up there talking the stubborn bastard off the ledge, I’m watching YouTube in the parking lot.

Went and picked the new tractor up in Iowa today. Didn’t take any pictures because it was cold as balls. It’s still on the trailer, I’ll get some tomorrow.

Truck did great. 100% needs air bags out back, it sags pretty bad. Doesn’t help it pretty much sits level normally.

Was literally home for an hour and the GF came home saying we had to go to Indiana again for her dad, luckily he’s in a facility in Crown Point now instead of fucking Indy. So 290 miles round trip to Iowa, and then 246 round trip to Crown Point and back. At least the second trip was in the Prius

Some pics of the tractor. It’s definitely a bit of a project, but I don’t think there’s anything seriously wrong. It has live hydro for the loader, but they removed the original hydraulics which sucks lol. I was going to track down a 3pt or quick hitch for it.

Also got a BOSS truck side for the F-250. Now time to find a plow.

As far as I’m aware for the tractor:

-Needs one new rim. Rotted out and leaking. Will probably tube the tires while I’m in there.

-PTO is stuck. May attempt a casual fix, but not a huge deal. Main reason for purchase was the loader anyways

-Gear shifter is tight. Probably shit fluid/rust in the case.

-Wrong carb/manifold. Shouldn’t be a huge issue, we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. First order of business is figuring out why it won’t stay running.

Got new tires on the F-250 today. I had a set of 265/70-17 Transforce AT2’s on GM wheels with under 1,000 miles on them laying around from a truck I owned last year. Was originally going to go snag a set of 17+ take-offs with brand new Nitto terra grappler G2’s for $1,000 which was a steal, but these were free with $100 install. Figured if they sat out another year or two they’d start going to shit anyways.

Removed toneau cover today and installed the tool box. Ended up taking the shorter box out of my 7.3 because, welp, I took a deposit on it yesterday night and it’s leaving tomorrow morning.

Im actually pretty down about it, but I got a solid offer and as much as it sucks, I just have way too many vehicles laying around that I’m storing 5 months a year. The truck is too nice for me to run in then winter personally, but needs some paint work and mechanical work to be up to par for my OCD. Guy buying it is replacing his ‘02 that’s finally getting tired at 630k lol.

You should just sell me that tank with the diesel in it.

Tank is empty now lol. My buddy had an empty transfer tank in his company truck so I put it in his with the agreement that when I end up with another truck with this setup he’ll fill it with the work card lol.

You need a transfer tank? I’ve got a bunch of them lol. I’m going to hold onto this one. Tank is three years old, pump is brand new. emptying this 100gal was literally the first fuel that’s been through it.

I would like to find one. My skid loader goes through a tank of fuel about every 8 hours on the meter. Filling it back up with 5 gallon cans gets old.

Started installing the plow stuff today. Mount went well. Definitely harder than Western plow stuff on GM trucks. Motor power wiring installed. Stopped in my tracks by the control wiring. Have the wrong headlight connectors.

Finished up and threw it back together and not five minutes later FedEx showed up with my RockAuto order. Upper rad hose and front calipers. Still had some daylight so did all that as well.
