Three tractors worth of parts and way too much BS later, my H is done aside from rear fenders. Bottom picture is how the tractor looked when I started.

What was changed from the donor tractors:

-Schwartz wide front
-Air cleaner swapped from a mesh style to the rare vortex style with glass jar to catch debris
-Air intake assembly, oil bath and all rubber boots changed.
-Ammeter, oil pressure and coolant temp gauges swapped out to newly refurbished ones
-Choke assembly
-Electric fuel shutoff solenoid
-Taller muffler does you’re not sucking down fumes all day.

And some other assorted odds and ends. The problem with these tractors is they’re not worth anywhere near what people are willing to put into them to make them special. So, I figured out how to do so without being upside down. With the little money I’ve made on the donors I’m into this project right around $1,500.

Got the PTO shaft unstuck, changed the gear oil and greased the shit out of the brush mower this AM and cut one of our neglected pastures that hasn’t been grazed this year. Tractor performed great with no issues or surprises. Dropped the oil hot after an hour of run time, had some moisture in it and under the cap (previous owner used it as a parade tractor so it never ran long) so I refilled it, will run it hard for another hour tomorrow and then drop it again along with a filter change.

Decided to cut East side pasture as well. I considered waiting and taking hay off it but it wasn’t worth it in the condition it’s in.

About five total acres, 2.5 hours, two shear bolts and around 8 gallons of fuel.

Quick video I made of it. I should’ve shut the tractor off so I didn’t have to yell but oh well.

7.3 will be going into hibernation soon. Finished getting this truck together for this winters tow rig.

4.10’s

After stripping off the tanks, boxes, accessories and selling them I’m in this thing next to nothing. Like under $3,000 nothing lol. 12’ flatbed paired with the trailer gives me 8’x36’ of space.

Really looking forward to loading the piss out of this thing and seeing how it does.

Nah, I get flamed by all the old timers on the Facebook pages for that. Lol. It stops in a matter of feet if I just clutch in. If absolutely necessary it’s not hard to jam the PTO off either.

Right on. I don't know what they're all tweaked about.
I was thinking of running one on my 5' brush hog behind my 1025r just to insulate the PTO system.

Bought 14 transfer tanks and a reel mower. Put the new flatbed truck and trailer to good use yesterday.

I kinda want to part out the reel mower and get my money back out of it and keep the engine... 1,400 hour Kubota 3 cyl diesel...

Also got a NOS tailgate for my 7.3. The plastic rub rail is missing and it’s scratched up on the current one. This was on a truck that got a utility body when new and was sitting in the rafters since 2001 lol

Well I actually bought two Prius’ lol. One has 113k and is mint. Other has 166k and can be made mint with some bumper touch ups. Both are from a forest preserve. Brand new tires, just got serviced. Should be able to cover the cost of the higher mile one I’m keeping for myself by selling the super nice one.
