We have calcium chloride in the rears on both our 4020 and the wd-45. I know that's going to bite me someday. Hopefully you can still get new rims for those tractors.
You can. Unverfirth still makes double bevels but inspect the wedges and spring for the new 8 dollar deere bolts. Spent alot of hours of my life on a sledge beatin bolts out of calcium covered hubs. You get to that point let me know ill make some phone calls and a lil diaphragm pump and an afternoon save a guy alot of money lol

Holy crap....you stole that 4020. I've seen them bring more with 3 times the hours and looking like crap. Too bad about the 6.0. I wish I would have kept my manual 6.0. That thing was a blast.

I’ve loved every banger 6.0 I’ve ever driven. Tuned 6.7 cummins with a G56 behind it is fun too, I’ll probably hold on to the dodge until the market normalizes and I can get back into something new.

I can’t wait to play with the 4020 lol

In all reality I only won four items today, kinda pissed me off. I put a damn near retail bid on an IH sickle mower because it was newer (early 90’s) and had a PTO output shaft and hitch to tow a conditioner in conjunction with it. Whoever was watching proxibid on their end fucked up and it sold to an on-site bidder for hundreds less than my pre-bid total. Like I put that max in an hour before it sold, I wasn’t sitting there clicking the button as the bids were going up.

There were also two older tractors that my pre-bid was $50 shy of the sale price, but I lost cell service on the way to the wedding and again once I got there.

Both this AC D-17 with loader and the F-20 Farmall I missed. The F-20 went for $550 fucking dollars. I threw 500 just because I thought it was cool, would’ve gone higher in a second.

I guess the silver lining of not winning anything else is I may be able to do this all in one trip. I’m going to call down to the auction yard and see if they have a way to unload a trailer off a trailer. Pretty much need a telehandler or big forklift. I’ll throw my old 16’ skid steer trailer I sold to my buddy on my deckover, drive there, unload that trailer and hook it to the Cummins, load the 4020 on the deckover, the H in the skidder trailer and the rake on the flatbed ??‍♀️. Makes sense in my head lol.

We used to have a d17 when I was a little kid. We didn't keep it long, because dad said it was a POS, but I don't really remember anything about it.

You probably know this, but just in case you don't, they make turbo kits for 4020's. ;). We had one of those before I was in highschool. That tractor was a blast.

I do know about the 4020 turbo kits lol, there’s a restored one with one of those kits for sale right now in the mid 40’s lol. Unfortunately, unless something happens that makes me a boatload of money in the next 30-60 days I’ll have to sell the 4020, it’s not one I can justify affording to keep. But I’m definitely going to get some enjoyment out of it while I can.

Went to go grab the 4020 and the Cummins today. 4020 was too much for my trailer. I’ve been getting bit in the ass by the tires I bought since I installed them. Long story short, I went with a 14 ply 110psi tire on HD wheels for my old skid steer trailer. When I sold that trailer, I swapped those wheels over to my deckover. They’re about 1.5” taller than the old ones and it seems like 10,000#’s is about the limit before I’ve got tire touching trailer. That was the case today.

Loaded up the H and the rake and had my dad follow me in the dodge. Going back tomorrow with my buddies gooseneck to grab the 4020. Also scored a wide front axle for a 656 International for $110, which works because I’ve been planning on one of those to run the baler and haybine. Now I can find a V-wheel unit cheaper and convert it.

Cummins runs/ drives great. It’s deleted/tuned and has a HOT tune in it. Fucker rips pretty good, I broke the tires loose rolling in 3rd lol. Clutch slips the littlest bit in 6th when you punch it so I’m going to tune it down a bit and just run it until it slips again down on power, then probably throw a Valair in it and turn it back up lol.

I guess I've been being too cheap on the sickle mowers. I've missed out on three of them throwing $300 bids, I guess I was wrong after doing a quick CL search. I'll pay up for the next one. "The Gang does Agriculture" snapchats are going to be unreal with us trying to figure this shit out with a bunch of 70 year old machines.

Lemme get in the snap club

I fucking love you.
