We just happened to be out on the ATV's/SxS and the person that owns the property where the trailhead is had one in his outbuilding, so grabbed a photo of it. I know precisely zero about tractors, lol. Wasn't sure if it was something special of historic value.

Had my buddy come out that does window tint. 20% all around on the Prius and the Silverado. Already put the Prius pics in the other thread.

It was inevitable, but, the time has finally come...

Companies are holding back vehicles because they can't get their hands on replacements. What does end up at the auctions goes for full-blown retail because people cannot get their hands on trucks. The trucks that end up there are usually beat or have major issues.

I'm scratching my head trying to figure out my next move with all of this. The past two years have been a perpetual kick in the dick, but at least there was inventory rolling. I couldn't care less if a 2011 Silverado was selling for $8,000 and worth $13,000 or selling for $12,000 and worth $16,000. But when there isn't anything to buy, and what is available is going for full blown retail I just have to sit back and watch in disgust.

There are some sales further out that are promising as far as inventory goes, but then shipping stuff 650 miles comes into play. I think my next investment will be a 2-3 car wedge gooseneck trailer to start making those worth it.

I've got a little bit of a moral dilemma going here...

So on Saturday AM I sold my '07 Ram to a guy from Kansas. I disclosed all of the issues I knew about on the truck (AC needed charged, front u-joint needed replaced, ABS sensor was throwing a code). I even provided a pair of brand new MOOG wheel bearings, u-joints and axle seals and negotiated accordingly...

Mind you, I've driven this truck multiple states over pulling a trailer and never had a single issue with it aside from the AC condenser getting blown out by a rock. I got in my new work truck (the '12 Silverado flatbed) about two months ago and really hadn't driven the Dodge since then. Put like 30 miles on it Saturday AM before the guy arrived, sold it to him and left for Hayward.

He calls me about an hour after saying the dash isn't lighting up and the radio went off. On my life I never had that happen before. Told him to fuck with the ignition switch, kinda seemed like that could be a cause and also suggested checking the battery cables because dodges like to do funky shit when they have bad electrical connections to the battery. Never heard back.... Fast forward six hours later, guy calls me saying the clutch pedal is hard as a rock and that the clutch is smoking??? Granted, he was driving it pretty hard on the test drive, but I figured he was just checking for slips and whatnot. Guy is in town to buy the truck, decided to go to downtown Chicago for vacation with his family and now this monstrosity of a vehicle is stuck at a restaurant in the city....

I gave him a friends info that owns a shop in the area and never heard back. IDK, I just feel like a dick even though neither issue was something someone could "hide"... it's more of a reputation thing, but I genuinely feel bad for the dude. Told him to take the truck to my friend and I'd consider helping him out with the repairs, but nowhere else. Friend has worked on this truck in the past and knows it, so I trust he'll be straight with me with whatever the issue is. I haven't heard from him since, but I guess he ended up calling my friend and telling him how he's not happy with me. Just sucks. I know I've been on the receiving end of that more than once, but never as a seller.

You answered the phone and helped out with what you could. You offered to assist in paying for the repairs.
It's 14 years old and has how many miles ?

if the guy wanted a new truck with a warranty, he wouldnt have bought yours. I would say you more than held up your end of the bargain.
See what your buddy says about the repairs.

So far I think you’ve done the right thing. I’d feel awful too, but it’s nothing you can control. I’d probably mother fuck you if you sold it to me, but just out of frustration and not because I was actually mad at you.
Shit situation but I feel like you’re being fair about it so far.

I’m being fair about it to a point, but if dude thins I’m gonna pay to rewire and put a clutch in the thing he’s going to be sorely mistaken.

I’m essentially going to say I’ll get you a deal on labor and kick the money directly to my friend. If he decides to go elsewhere he’s on his own.

Also still haven’t heard from him since Saturday afternoon.

I don’t doubt there was a problem. He did call my friend about the issue, but I don’t know the extent of their conversation. I got the call as I got to town up north, and the last place I have cell service.

Told him to text me if he needs to get a hold of me and that I’d call when I was in range. Never heard another thing from him.

Busy day. Got the 7.3 all cleaned up and put away for the winter. Got the plow hooked up and ready on the Yukon. Bought three F-250’s. All ECLB 6.2 4x4’s. Listed the flatbed silverado because I’ll just use one of the F-250’s and probably put a plow on it.

They all got the cats stolen off of them, so that’s neat.

I’ll probably be pricing them at $14,000 a piece just based on comps but I’ll give you a good price if you want one. They’re all rust free 2012’s.

6.2 A6 4x4‘s. FX4 package. Power windows/locks/mirrors, A/C, cruise, heated mirrors, etc. 190-202k miles.

One has some body damage on the bed, cab corner and rear door. That’s the one I’ll be keeping for myself. Other two are nice straight trucks.
